Quedgeley Alcohol Awareness Winners Quedgeley Alcohol Awareness Winners

Tuesday November 10, 2009

The Gloucester Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) and Tesco in Quedgeley have rewarded three shoppers for their alcohol awareness knowledge.

Shoppers were quizzed by the CDRP during the launch of their campaign in October to tackle underage drinking.

The campaign had two major strands, Challenge 25, requiring retailers to request proof of age from anyone purchasing alcohol who may appear to be under 25, and the second, "Don’t Buy 4 U18", to educate about the consequences of buying alcohol for young people.

On Monday November 2, officers from the Quedgeley Safer Community Team and the personal manager from Tesco presented store vouchers to Mrs Perry and Mark Toseland. A third prize was won by Mrs Fletcher who was unable to attend.
